A little finch sits atop cactus with a blue sky above. These birds visit our garden and birdbath, and nest in our backyard. This year I'll be putting out nesting boxes for them to use.
This is an 8x10 watercolor+ink and acrylic painting. Acrylic is used here for the sky only, and the main portion of the painting is watercolor+ink on board. The board I use has a clay surface.
This painting is framed in a float frame of light color maple wood.
