On a visit to a California beach I spent a couple of hours happily beachcombing and discovering all sorts of treasures.
I made this painting with some of those discoveries. Such a variety of plants from under the sea; a strand of kelp that had tied itself into a loose knot, water pooled in a mussel shell, and a stray fishing lure.
This is an 8x10 original watercolor+ink and acrylic painting that I have framed using a light colored maple floater frame that enhances the painting without disturbing the edges.
The main part of the painting is watercolor+ink and acrylic is used for the background color.
